excelent a good printer

i am getting one soon and dont know what one is awesome.
i would prefer a colored laser b/c of the quality and speed.
has to have excellent pictures(almost or as good as walgreens)
not to frequent ink replacements
needs to work with laptop(usb or wireless)

To choose the right printer you need to focus on exactly what your going to be using it for in the long run… Word docs for college, 8×10photos, or high quantity sheets a day, such as in an office…

It sounded like this was more or less for personal use, with a focus on quality pictures so you can print them yourself and cut the cost of Walgreens pictures…
I happen to be that same exact person myself, and jsut bought an HP C4200 deskjet, and have been quite pleased. I am a picture guy myself, and when I went shopping for my printer I asked 3 questions, What’s the quality of photos 8×10’s. What printer cartriges does it require, and does it have scanning ability, so that I could digitallized my older prints…

As an added perk, it has a LED screen, copy function, and reads 9(i think) different types of memory cards.

I spent $70 on this printer at Office Depot, I caught it on sale, and it fit perfect for my intended uses… They take HP 74 &75 cartriges and are among the cheapest I’ve found, $11black-$15color of other… Although, they tend to print slightly less than other cartriges, with it being an HP cartridge, they can be refilled for cheaper, and also sell a 74XL75XL that has 3 times the ink at only 2 times the price as above if you have some heavy printing to do.

I compared this printer to a Canon that was a little more expensive than it was, because I didn’t want to skimp on quality, and was discouraged by the office depot guy there that told me he’d compared prints and the HP pictures were more clear and deeper colors… The first picture I printed made me say wow, and for a $100 printer it’s a steal…
As far as speed, it can’t compete with the speed of a laser, but the price between the ink and toner you’d spend on a good laser, it’s worth the extra few moments for a page. Don’t get me wrong though It prints quite quickly unless you put it on the Highest quality and then it takes is sweet time to make it come as just right……
